• Appearance

  Marasel often carries tall and straight, shoulders back and with an air of authority that gives herself the illusion of being taller and grander than her true stature. Though petite, corded muscle can be seen flexing under her skin with every movement and is clearly defined beneath her leather armor. Depending upon the situation her lengthy golden blond hair is either hanging free down her back or tied up in tight bun with a black velvet band. Long sharp ears define her race and pair well with her hazel eyes that can quickly shift from gentle and kind to sharp and merciless. In the morning light, knelt to give praise to Lathander she looks like a figure made of spun gold, and it's a wonder how she has little in the way of suitors. However, as she stands with a look of resolution in her eyes, one hand clasped to the holy symbol against her chest and the other on the handle of her short sword, it's clear she has little interest in anything outside of her calling.

• Personality

  To say that Marasel takes her faith seriously would be an understatement. Marasel's devotion to Lathander and the values and tenants his worship involves is so fierce that she has been forced to leave the church where she was raised due to conficting views on what being a member of the faith means. The sun elf believes that as a member of the church she must serve those less fortunate than her. However, even when covered in filth and sitting on one knee tending to the poor she manages to look authorative and regal. Those who come to know her well know that there are two sides of her, the kind patron of Lathander who gives all for the impoverished and helps birthing mothers, and the cruel avenging force capable of summoning a beam of burning holy light upon any she finds worthy of Lathander's rage. These two conflicting personalities serve to make Marasel a suitable Cleric of Lathander and as such has inherited power from the patron diety of sunlight. Beneath her love for her work and kindness lies a lust for power. Already possessing ample magical prowess from Lathander she's always asking for more, and if she sees an opportunity to increase her power she'll take it.

• Spells

  These are the powers she has in the table top game I play her in, however I'll alter them according to who I am playing with. I am not interested in playing just to win fights or god-mod. These are mostly here for my reference, and if I do anything that isn't listed here you can call me out for it.
  
  Burning Hands: A thin sheet of flames shoots out from Marasel's outstretched fingertips, spreading into a 15 foot cone in front of her.
  
  Faerie Fire: Outlines everything in a 20 foo cone in front of Marasel in green light. Useful in dark places or when fighting invisible foes.
  
  Bless: Can bestow a blessing on her allies that increases their luck in battle.
  
  Thaumaturgy: Marasel can use a small amount of magic to change the color of her eyes, clean things, rearrange things, and change her voice among other small tricks.
  
  Spare the dying: Marasel can stabalize someone who is bleeding out or otherwise on the brink of death if she acts quickly enough.
  
  Light: Marasel can touch an object and make it glow in a magical light for up to an hour.
  
  Healing Word: Marasel can heal allies from a distance by asking favor from her God on their behalf. Not a very effective heal.
  
  Sacred Flame: Causes flame like radiance to descend on a target inflicting holy damage.
  
  Firebolt: Marasel hurls a mote of fire at a creature or object inflicting damage.
  
  Guiding Bolt: Causes a flash of light to streak toward an enemy which inflicts holy damage and makes the target easier to hit with the next attack.
